I’ve been through the acquisition process several times, with two successful exits under my belt. So I’d like to share what I’ve learned. Hopefully, it’ll give you a smooth ride to the finish line.
Diligence is convincing the buyer your startup is as good as you say it is. Like buying a used car, they’ll kick the tires, take a test drive, ask many questions, and sometimes find ways to haggle down the value.
